Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned:

+ Research and analyze patient health outcomes to identify health disparities among AID Atlanta patients

+ Research and analyze clinical process data (ie. Wait times, show rates, RW standards compliance

+ Audit agency programs, documentation, and workspaces for compliance with Health Insurance Accountability and Portability Act (HIPAA)

+ Facilitate program assessments, which include evaluative activities such as observations, records review, policy review, interviews, focus groups, surveys, team meetings, etc.

+ Observe community testing event to employ assessment procedures to identify opportunities for improvement

+ Initiate meetings with program staff

+ Attend Quality Management Meetings

+ Attend Consumer Advisory Board Meetings

+ Attend bi-monthly supervision meetings

+ Research and contribute to quality improvement training curriculum

+ Complete audit activity to assist with monitoring compliance with standards of care

+ Consolidate/summarize findings from assessment procedures in writing

+ Assist in coordination of internal compliance review and monitoring activities

+ Collaborate with the program departments on focused quality improvement projects

+ Make recommendations to Director of Quality and Compliance for process improvements and strategic planning based on findings and activities

+ Monitor compliance with various grant mandated Standards of Care (RW, CDC, PHS, etc) to identify deficiencies for improvement


+ Superior time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure, manage competing deadlines/crisis, simultaneous projects and deadlines

+ Outstanding interpersonal skills with the maturity, integrity, and experience to gain the trust and confidence of clients, staff, and partners)

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Flexible; adapts well to change

+ Highly developed analytic skills with the ability to think strategically

+ Computer proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), email, Internet, and client databases

Education and/or Experience:

Currently enrolled in a 4-year college/university with a major in Public Health, Community Health, Epidemiology, or related field.

Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
